what keyboard are you using? if it is the newest imac and you are using
that new keyboard with an fn key on it, you may need to change the way the
function keys behave in keyboard under system prefs, to get to the vo
utility first, if you do in fact have that fn key, press fn-vokeys-f8.

Subject: [macvoiceover] My new MAC

G'day people.

My name is Col Shawcross, I'm from Australia, and have been watching this
list for a little while now.
I received my new IMac today, and am having problems accessing the menus
etc. as described in the voiceover manuals from "Icanworkthisthing".
I have absolutely no idea what I am doing wrong.
looking for some simple advice.
the computer came with MAC Leopard installed.
I seemed to have worked through the welcome screen OK. but have no idea what
is happening now.
when I press VO keys f8. for example to open the utilities menu nothing
happens.
likewise with other option keys.
voiceover seems to be working at all times, so I must have that right.

hope to hear from you with good advice.
Later, Regards. Col.
