What new features are there? The advantages of upgrading?

So far, everything is great. I just installed Lion without erasing anything, and everything came back, including all my settings. I was prepared to reload lots of things, but there was no need todo so. It's pretty amazing. This autocorrect feature is interesting; I'm still figuring it out, but I think I'll be able to get the hang of it. Safari works beautifully, and even my Skype settings were kept.
Happy roaring!

Thanks for the tips. I haven't had a moment to download and install Lion, but can't wait. Will all my mail signatures, settings, etc, carry over from SL?
Thanks,
Olivia

I am using mail in the new view. It was a little strange. but I was reading my mail quite successfully within about three minutes. Just find the message/conversation and hit tab. There's the contents of the conversation.

Hi:

Well, I took the plunge and installed Lion. I had no problem with the download. It took about 45 minutes. The install took about the same but I turned on voiceover and was able to see the progress of the install. THere were a few times when I thought the install had locked up but it resumed again after about five minutes. I had no difficulty download and installing the new voices. They are quite large though. Mail was a surprise and i confess, I went into preferences and check the box in the view tab to go back to classic mail. I'll learn the new way but for now I need to read my mail. Alex is absolutely more responsive. Can't wait to try itunes.
More later.
