I posted a similar question a few days after I upgraded to ML. Before upgrading to ML, I was using Lion. I remove the password in mail preferences. That way, mail would prompt me for my password when I open mail. Since upgrading to ML, I can remove the password in mail preferences, but for whatever reason, it puts the password back even though I save the settings before exiting mail preferences. When you are on the password box in mail preferences, it tells you to leave it blank if you want to be ask for it. Smiles, not exactly in those words, but you know what I mean. I'm thinking that the passwords must be saved somewhere else, and it needs to also be removed from where ever that somewhere else may be. -----Original Message----- From: macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> [mailto:macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>] On Behalf Of Ricardo Walker Sent: Tuesday, August 07, 2012 5:05 PM To: macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: Email passwords Hi, Wouldn't it be less of a hassle to go to mail preferences, and under general, set check for new messages to manual?.
