Try the period to move back by one bar and the comma to move forward by one bar.
Use the shift in combination with the period and comma to move by ten bars.

In GB, and I assume you have GB 10, most do not still have GB 6 which is a
little different but useful, GB 10 is an entry level before Logic.
In GB interact with the tracks then select track header, you will be able to
scroll between each track or file you have pasted in. When you interact with
a track you can scroll to the volume , interact with this and raise or
reduce according to your preference. If you want the volume of a track to
change during playback I suggest you edit this in Amadeus.
I am trying to give you what I think is your simpler option to get the
result you require regarding your podcast.

It is not so difficult to do what you are intending using GB to layer the
files.
You may want to begin with some sound before the spoken track, so simply

the space bar at the moment you want the voice to start, then paste the

then finishing with more sound and fading out.

will return the playback position to the starting location.
