The new plastic model feels really, really nice - smooth as glass but once one puts his paws on an aluminum Pro, even for just a few minutes in the store, it's hard to go back to the plastic. Silly as it may sound, though, I picked the Pro because of the CF slot to make transferring NLS books to my Stream easier.

Really consider the Pro. The aluminum uni body construction is so much more solid than the plastic model. You'd need to be on a very tight budget to save $200 by getting plastic.

I used it at the Apple store in Tampa and it worked great. I chose to go the extra $200 and get the Pro for a handful of reasons but the regular MacBook 13 works great with the TrackPad Commander.

Hello all,

I read on the apple site that the new plastic macbooks have a multi
gesture track pad. If this is true, then can one use the track pad
commander on this machine I was just under the impression that you
can only use this feature on the macbook pros.?
