Yippee! You're my hero! -----Original Message----- From: macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of John W. Hess Sent: Wednesday, November 21, 2007 1:47 PM To: macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [macvoiceover] Dialog for adding music to the ITunes library. Here's what it should look like. After opening Itunes press command-o and hear "add to library." Press VoKeys-f3 and you should hear "Back dim button is in the voiceovercurser" This is where the vo curser is presently positioned. When you movethe vo curser right you will hear "forward dim button" "icon mode radio button 1 of 3" "list mode radio button 2 of 3" "column mode radio button 3 of 3" Then you should hear the words "popup button" and before those words the name of the folder that is selected.continuing right hear "search field edit text" "progress indicator" Sidebar table" "vertical splitter" "file table" "new folder button" "cancel button"and "open button".Interact with "sidebar table" by pressing vokeys-shift-down-arrow. Use thevo curser to move through your folders and if you year the words collapsedand want to expand the folder to find other folders press vokeys-backslash. Once you find the folder you want then stop interacting with it by pressing vokeys-shift-up-arrow. Then move to the file table and interact with it bypressing vokeys-shift-down-arrow.you should then see the files you are looking for. I have a firewire drive as well as a pc networked to my machine and the add tunes to library dialog sees everything. If I can be of further assistance let me know. one thing,if your music is in subfolders within a folder I believe you can find themane folder and Itunes will look through the sub folders to find the music.I might be wrong here so someone please correct me if I am thanks. Yes, if you find the dialogue please let me know. The machine says "dialogue" and then sticks me somewhere else, so I can't even find thedialogue to interact with it and see what it says. And although I can tellthat it wants me to select the place from which to obtain the files, I can'tget to it. I can only get as far as my computer, but I can't seem to findthe external drive at that point. -----Original Message----- From: macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of JohnyTheHess Sent: Wednesday, November 21, 2007 9:49 AM To: macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: PC brain can't compute: external hd again Ginny, I don't believ you can copy in to itunes by pasting. It sounds like you are selecting the files and hearing the correct response to your copy command. when you press command-c the files are copyed to your clipboard. Now you can go to a folder on your external drive and press command-v and they will be pasted. this may take a wihle and you will see a dialog with the appropriate information. YOu will have to interact with it to actually read the status. NOw, as far as adding them to your Itunes library you started out correctly. press comand-o and Zoix!!! I don't have a mac in front of me. I believe you should see the different file and folder lists and you should be able to access the files from the external drive. If you highlight the folder ITunes should be able to sourt out the music from the rest. If you get stuck on the dialog write back and when I am infront of a mac Ill find the exact info for the add to library dialog. someone may chime in on this with the dialog. THanks.
