Russell,
The first beta did have some problems and it has gotten better with each beta
but I think in your case the problem may be your cable that is the first place
I would look.

Hi Keith,
Any tips on how to get my Braille Blazer recognized by Duxbury? I have it
connected with a parallel to USB cable, but it isn’t showing up anywhere. How
do I get Duxbury to send emboss jobs to the Blazer?
I’ll have to try beta 5… I think I have the first beta.
Thanks Keith.

Hi Russell,
The new DBT for mac beta is beta5 and it does work quite a bit better with
Voiceover. We did buy the program and it looks very promising.

Hi everyone,
I haven’t been keeping up with the list much, so forgive me if this
question has already been asked. Has anyone had any luck with the Duxbury
beta for the Mac? I installed it, and when I first ran it, a window popped
up asking me to choose my embosser. I hadn’t yet hooked up my embosser, so
canceled out of this window thinking I would do it later. Well, I hooked up
my Braille Blazer and went back into Duxbury, but I can not get to the
embosser setup window. The menus are not working with VoiceOver at all. If
I press VO + M, I hear “Apple”, but I am not able to move to the right in
the menu bar by pressing VO right arrow, or right arrow by itself, or
anything. If I press VO + M, and then when I hear “Apple”, press the letter
“G”, I hear “Global”, but no way to get this menu to open. Any ideas here?
Has anyone been able to get Duxbury to work on the Mac? I’m running El
Capitan.
Thanks for any ideas.
