All looks well on the finder part. It works well if I reinstall VO and just use the default settings. So it is a bug in VO. The only triangle that was opened was general in the get info Window.

Sorry, there is no easy way to do this. You need to look in the places where the settings are done and relate them.

There are three tabs in finder prefs, some bars under view, in system prefs under sharing, there are some settings which allow you to set access for different types of remote activity. Under one of these, file sharing, you have to enable your account to share with windows users. If you want to shar the whole drive, you have to enable that specifically by "adding a user".

to get you started, here's how I have my general finder prefs set:
All items under the desktop category are checked, Jonnie is where my new finder windows open, unchecked always open in a new window, spring-loaded folders and windows unchecked.

I don't know right off hand. Is there a text document that I can pull up and paste into a message or is there something I need to pay attention to in particular? The reason why I ask is because it would be hard as heck to type all of that out.

How are your finder preferences set? How is your system set up poermission wise?

VaShaun,

This is almost certenly a bug and should be reported. Others have seen the same kind of thing and it does not do the same thing on all systems. If it is a bug, just try to hang in there until the bug is fixed.

I have been having problems with VO crashing when I either try to get info or click the more info button. I have tried a few things that I will spell out and want to bounce it off you guys. I have tried to remove VO and restart the computer. This resulted in VO working just fine and all of a sudden it stops working. Next I tried running a portable version of VO from my thumb drive and VO still crashes. I have tried using another list members VO settings and and it still acts up. I have tried installing Leopard all three ways and the most stable installation is the fresh install. This made mail more stable and allows me to recognize the get info button when I couldn't before. I have called Apple and they are stuck as well. A level 2 rep was the one that advised me to remove VO and restart. Again this works for a while and then stops. I have tried removing VO and after setting each preference trying to see if the problem exist with a particular preference and it works no matter which one I choose. At this point I don't know what I need to do. It seems like I am the only one with this problem so filing a bug may not be in order. What do you guys think?
