I too have noticed this but I don’t know yet what to do about it.

Hi TF and anyone else using the Brave browser,
I am finding that Brave is, indeed, very fast. One problem I am having though
is if I give the "Say All" VO + A command to read an entire page, Brave
crashes every time. It doesn't seem to matter which page I go to.
Anyone else noticing this behavior?
Thanks,
Russell

To test the quickness of the Brave browser I hav e a youtube link in an
email. With Brave set as my default browser I click on the link and it plays
immediately in Brave.
I reset my default browser to Safari and again click on the link, this time
it takes close to five seconds. I do have the Adblock extension in Safari
which is said to slow activity though without ad blockers I would be
starting the video with an ad either way.
