As of the moment there is little to no spyware, or malware of any kind, in the wild for OS X. Don't assume there never will be, but given the architecture of the system it would be considerably harder to write and very unlikely to be able to worm its way in without alerting you. Most of the adware targets specifically Internet Explorer, so even under Windows if you use a browser like Firefox you're considerably safer, though by no means immune to certain types of it. Some security researchers claimed to have proven a theoretical virus for OS X, but the vulnerability this research was based on has since been closed.
