I have an amazon echo dot, sometimes called Alexa, not expensive, uses
bluetooth and wirelessly connects through your internet to an amazon website.
you can set it up to control all sorts of things like lighting and appliances.
Also it can be set to listen for sounds like a break-in and send you a text
message.
i don't use it for any of these functions myself.

am looking for not only visual components, like cameras, that my wife can
view, but also motion sensors or audible systems that either send my phone a
