If you have a 3g or 4g iPad, you can use a GPS app without paying for a data plan every month. Don't think you need a bluetooth satelite receiver either. That was one of the reasons I was thinking about getting an iPad, but decided I didn't need a big screen with all the graphics, so decicded on the iPod touch instead.
