And turned the volume up with headphones in? On Mar 21, 2012, at 2:43 PM, barbara jones wrote: I already checked the volume, thanks. Did the reset and nothing. I tried the universal access again and this time I got a message that said VO changes the gestures, did I want to continue. I answered yes but again it did nothing and went back to being unchecked. I'm stumped. -----Original Message----- From: mac4theblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mac4theblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of John Panarese Sent: Wednesday, March 21, 2012 2:26 PM To: mac4theblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mac4theblind] Re: Voice over help Did you somehow turn the volume all the way down. I know, simple questions, but best to look at all alternatives. Try holding the home and power buttons down for six seconds to do a reset on the device to see if that fixes the issue. I went into iTunes and checked VO under universal access and tabbed to okay and hit enter. However VO did not go back on. When I went back to check universal access, VO was not checked. I did it again and again and still nothing. I tried a 3 finger double tap in case I turned speech off as well but that didn't help. Any ideas?
