OK. now we're getting somewhere lol.

tested the site and it takes several seconds to connect. probably a proxy error
on their end or high net traffic.

a way to certainly give safari a kick in the backside is to use a product which
is free called ONYX. it's a universal system tweak tool.
WARNING: use of this software with incorrect settings can harm OS X performance.

With onyx, you can do complete cache cleanups, rebuild directory structures and
much more besides. I use it as part of my system pen drive for going out on any
emergency work, if ever I'm needed as a mac specialist. Your caches store font
logs, file settings and all other data. so, flushing the cache as well as doing
a system clean up helps a lot.

NOTE OF CAUTION:

a freeware application called CCleaner which was recently launched for the mac
is an application which can do damage to the system. Several users who have
contacted me mentioning this program have reported an error where the disk has
been tampered with and due to this, OS X becomes unstable.

please DO NOT download and install CCleaner.

for further instructions on using onyx for maintenance, let me know and I'll
post settings.

lew
