Ok, these activities are still several lessons ahead but I'd like to have something to fall back on while I search for keyboard methods to get tasks done. Thanks for the tips. -----Original Message----- From: mac4theblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mac4theblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Justin Harford Sent: Sunday, November 27, 2011 2:24 AM To: mac4theblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mac4theblind] Re: Drag and drop in Lion? Hi Like she said it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, rather depending on the kind of drag/drop that you want to do. But if that doesn't work, another alternative that you have is to position the mouse over the item, press vo space shift to lock the mouse button down, then navigate to where you want to drag it, and press vo shift space again. You can maybe make this move more smoothly if after pressing the mouse down, you turn off cursor tracking (vo shift f3) so that the cursor won't be so sluggish when moving to the target. Keep in mind that for drag and drop to work, both items have to be visible on your screen. Moving windows might sometimes help: VO grave to turn on move window mode, arrow keys to move the window, escape to shut off that mode.
