MAASE Announcement MEAS Accommodation Table Survey

Dear MAASE Members,
The Office of Educational Assessment and Accountability (OEAA), in
cooperation with the Assessment of Students with Disabilities Advisory
Committee, is seeking feedback on the Michigan Educational Assessment
System (MEAS) Assessment Accommodation Summary Table. The table is
located at:

As you know, this table is used by educators throughout Michigan as a
reference to determine if an assessment accommodation is considered
“standard” or “nonstandard” for MEAS, or is permitted or not permitted
on state assessments.
The table is currently undergoing revision for 2009-10 and a survey
has been developed to collect feedback from educators and
practitioners who have experience working with Michigan’s students
with disabilities and accommodations that help provide them equal
access to state assessments.
Input from MAASE members and your staff are therefore extremely
important to this work. Please respond yourself and forward the
survey request to your staff involved in MEAP or MiAccess testing.
