how to read the source codes of luajit?

Hi All,


The source codes of luajit are complex (because the background knowledge, e.g.
tracing jit, assembly, optimize is complex?).
Is there some guideline how to read the source codes of luajit?
It seems this project is solely maintained by Mike. Nobody could help? Because
nobody could get deep understanding of the source codes just like what Mike did?
