Dear Friends of the Institute,
We will be repeating our wheat harvest workshop with improvements this
year. We're harvesting heirloom wheat and rye with scythes and sickles
before threshing, winnowing, and grinding it into flour. You'll get a
chance to try different traditional and modern hand-driven (and in some
cases, bicycle-driven) threshers and grinders.
The workshop will happen about 25 min south of Madison at the Low
Technology Institute on July 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
