I drove to Peveto Woods today hoping to maybe see some South Texas Migrants.
There are a lot of butterflies flying there right now, but nothing unusual. Had
a total of 17 species in the western end of the Parish.Along the coast, there
was a profusion of yellow composites blooming, but once away form the coast,
not so much. This coming week is forecasted to stay warm. I hope to get out
into the field again next weekend, probably staying south of I-10.
