Sorry, but I won't be around for the walk this week.
Might try climbing the north face of the Eiger instead. (See attached).
Enjoy the walk Bob

ownership. No purse needed.

Hi,
My understanding was that Peter Smithson suggested he would organise a walk
near his home as he had to be back early.
That might have been a misunderstanding. But I certainly didn't offer to
organise a walk!
However I did take the purse from Gordon. But in fact I can't come at all on
Thursday. So apologies it won't be on whatever walk us organised. Sorry.
All the best,Jon

I have another abject apology to make, I'm going to attend a party!
Yes folks I know I said I would lead the Thursday walk this week, but I
lied, inadvertently you understand; at the time I was unaware of the
true state of affaires. However now I see the truth which is that Her
Majesty has invited me to attend a party in a garden on her special
day. Of course I'm not a raving monarchist (however I am prepared to
defend the place of the monarchy in our peculiar democracy) and I would
rather be walking and talking with you lot but needs must when that
devil is in charge.
So I gave the kitty to John and Peter L and they said that they could
come up with a walk. Maybe this is a gentle reminder. Anyway I'll see
you all again on June 9th. And, if there are no other takers, I'll
think of something for then.
Happy Jubileeing
