Hoshyar Zabari is the source of Amir Taheri's report about Obama trying to
get the Iraqi's to delay America's troop withdrawals. He is not an
"advisor" as Mike says. He is the Iraqi Foreign Minister. It was not
irresponsible journalism as someone else said for Taheri to report the
statements of the Iraqi Foreign Minister.

Here is an article discussing talks with Iran. Iraqi Minister Hoshyar
Zabari is listed as the source in this Middle East Times article for Iraq's
position:

Here is another article quoting Hoshyar Zabari. This article by Justin
Paulette.

iers/>

ers/

Some have seen these reports by Hoshyar Zabari as favoring the McCain
campaign, but that's irrelevant. Are they true? If they aren't then Zabari
is lying. What would be his motivation? This incident isn't going away.
Paulette says, "If Zebari's statements are discovered to be true, Obama
would be guilty of the most unadulterated political profiteering and moral
corruption in modern history."

Some of the comments following Paulette's article are interesting. For
example,

ZEBARI HAS NO REASON TO MISLEAD US WITH HIS STATEMENT OF OBAMA. I BELIEVE
THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT OBAMA DID AND HE MUST PAY THE CONSEQUENCES FOR THAT
ACTION. HOW HORRIBLE, WE HAVE MEN,WOMEN WHO LOST THEIR LIVES FOR US TO BE
FREE OBAMA IS TOTAL TRASH. LET'S GET MCCAIN/PALIN IN OFFICE FOR A SAFER
AMERICA AND TO RUN OFF THE LIKES OF OBAMA AND HIS SUPPORTERS. Patchy,

This is a bombshell if it is true. It means that obama was trying to
circumvent US government policy while in Iraq, with no authority whatsoever,
all for political gain. It means he was saying one thing publicly and the
complete opposite privately. It means he was willing to sacrifice more
American lives in the interim while he waited so that he could triumphantly
reduce troop strength after he became president. This is so big that . . . .
it probably won't even be looked in to by the main stream media.

Of course not all the comments were from reflective people wondering if this
report is going to turn out to be true. Here is a comment from a couple of
people who seems to be a democrat:

You qualify. All republicans voting for mcinsane and pitiful palin have IQs
of 50 or less. Trash, trash, trash. Do all of us a favor and move to another
country - the republicans will send you more money that way. How can you be
so stupid, stupid. You got what you deserved when you elected - oops, he
didn't win, he stold the election bush the bumbler. Nancy7:24PMSep 15th 2008
