There is no way to diagnose RLS except through subjective assessments, and it is the kind of neuropathic condition that really is a mask for an underlying condition ... diabetes for example, or peripheral neuropathy.
So predicting it genetically must be a real stretch. I don't even know if that's possible. Apparently The Times does. Maybe, as commercials advise, I should ask my doctor.
