So, I went to bed as usual and woke up to the horror of -- no, not Kafka's
cockroach, that would have been a blessing, no, I woke to the horror of
Donal Trump having been elected President of the United States of America.
Whoa! Whoa! Whoa now, whoa. This is so absolutely not to be allowed to
happen. Trump is but a clump of messy flesh, a rump-faced dump who has no
awareness whatsoever of what it means to be a human being. He knows not of
the nobility of reason or as Will once put it:
"How noble in reason,
How infinite in faculties,
In form and moving
How express and admirable,
In action how like an angel,
In apprehension how like a god,
The beauty of the world,
The paragon of animals.
I have of late
But wherefore I know not
Lost all my mirth."
Well, I know why I have lost all my mirth. I fear very much for America.
And possibly for all of humanity.
