You can't get past the "position".  What about the substance of it, the facts they talk about?  Asia lends, America spends is an economic reality, not a leftist position.  We're drowning in debt and have no industrial base, no alternatives to the dwindling oil supply, Americans use their houses as ATM machines (second mortgages); they're as deep in debt as the government, and on and on.  Those are facts, realities of America today.  From sea to shining sea is now interrupted by a dead zone.  You are so like the people I know, no idea of what's going on.  Maybe it's better that way, who knows.

I was mildly interested in Omar’s “New Politics” article.   I dismissed the Marxist when I considered political paradigms for explaining the current state of the world.  I’m surprised there are still some left (so to speak).
