Never a dull moment, even in the quest for unbridled free trade. Seems there's an election in progress in Mexico and Vicente Fox's free trade clone is neck to neck with a Chavez leftist clone. If Fox's clone gets in, it's pretty guaranteed that Mexico will effectively run our trade. Of course American big business will love that. If the leftist gets in, he's promising, or so he says, to reform the country to make it better for the people. Unfortunately, he's got the word "revolutionary" in his party's name (that's all I know about Mexican politics). Either way, it will affect the U.S. profoundly, especially in the longer term.
