If turkeys were just a bit smarter, we could teach them to line up for
the roasting pan and the soup pot. Such high purpose -- family values
and all that -- would allow them to escape their ordinariness, arm them
against thoughts of insignificance, allow them to join the illustrious
heroes of the past who sacrificed themselves so that others would have
freedom to choose...the roasting pan and the soup pot.
Only a few would rebel, following instead the call of the Wild Turkey.
