Not all Republicans set to boot Ford
Republicans have enough members in the Tennessee
Senate to deny newly elected Sen. Ophelia Ford a
seat — but they lack the unity to do so.
Senate Speaker Pro Tem Micheal Williams,
R-Maynardsville, said he's not ready to unseat her.
Ford won her seat over a GOP opponent by 13 votes,
and irregularities such as dead people voting have
been uncovered.
