Geary wants us to consider:
i. Grice is a European philosopher.
ii. Grice was born in Harborne, Staffordshire, England, United Kingdom of Great
Britain and Northern Ireland.
iii. At the time of Grice's birth, March 13, 1913, Harborne was not in Europe,
politically.
iv. Therefore Grice, unlike Derrida, who was born in Algeria, to Haïm Aaron
Prosper Charles Aimé Derrida and Georgette Sultana Esther Safar (1901–1991),
named him "Jackie", was and for that matter ain't a European philosopher.
v. Does it matter in terms of implicature?
