First a brief note to John McCreary, thanks for reply, It'll take me some time to respond properly. But as for this short note, I don't usually forward news to this list, but this one is a jaw dropper. According to Daily Telegraph, giving anonymous British diplomats as the source: "[...]Iran said the EU-3 should support Iran's quest for "advanced (nuclear) technology, including those with dual use" - a reference to equipment that has both civilian and military applications." "[...]More astonishingly, Iran said the EU-3 should agree to meet Iran's requirements for conventional weapons and even "provide security assurances" against a nuclear attack on Iran." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2004/08/11/wiran11.xml&sSheet=/portal/2004/08/11/ixportal.html Now I have my doubts about the reliability of this story, although I do not know where Telegraph stands on this particular issue. Perhaps Judy or someone else can explain. Cheers, Teemu Helsinki, Finland __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail - You care about security.
