An awful warning of the fleetingness of literary fame and fortune. Ruth brought home a couple of aged murder mysteries from our club library. I am looking at the blurb on the back cover of one of them. There I see the portentous words "a thriller in the Dornford Yates tradition" With a name like that, how could an author be forgotten?
