I agree with the sentiments. I wonder, though, if he would have been more
effective if he had used cleaner language? I admit to getting annoyed at
profanity in both serious writing and in comedy. Seems to me profanity needs
to be used sparingly or what's the point in having it. Excessive use seems to
me a mark of immaturity. Pissing down the throats of shitheads. He seems to
become one of the low lifes with phrases like that.
I also second Mike's objection to the use of whores. Whores are among the most
abused people in any society. We have joined the abusers of the world. I
can't think of a synonym to put in there. Mercenaries just make a living; they
don't care one way or the other. Barbarians maybe? They descend, create
chaos, and leave again, which is pretty much what will have happened by the
time Bush pulls out.
