The above article describes German prosecutors as preparing criminal charges
against a group of Germans whom they suspect of illegally helping Iran
obtain technology that could be used to develop nuclear weapons.  The likely
charge will be treason.

 

Apparently, these Germans served as middle men to provide nuclear technology
from the now disgraced Pakistan nuclear expert Abdul Qadeer Kahn and North
Korea, Iran and Libya.  This happened some time ago, but Treason is unlikely
to be subject to a statute of limitation.
