No. Nowadays, most geisha clients are senior business executives. The 
very high class, very private, and very expensive Japanese restaurants 
where geisha perform are used mainly for discrete private business 
meetings. The geisha are a frill, the icing on the cake, the pickles 
not the tofu--not the primary purpose for which the meetings occur.



A.A.  I wonder what would happen in this country if senior business executives 
were routinely given private dance demonstrations as a part of business 
meetings.
