Okay, I looked it. It's clever, I like it. Happy Birthday, okay?

Every bit as good as I expected, and even better. Almost too good to delete.
Too bad I didn't read it.

For those of us who have intermittent breaks in our English Language
Comprehension, here is a Humpty-Dumpty explanation to eschew any confusion
about what I "REALLY MEANT"

>O'me Gassidy

A perversion of a contraction of AMAGO and CASSIDY, but with poetic license to
put forth my own exasperation in the valley-girl form of "Oh My Ga" but in the
now, ever so quaint, IRISHism of the form that has been sweeping the nation for
the past decade. Then there's the actual Irish implication "of my gas" ity -- I
admit, that part of it, is mildy insulting as well as potentially smelly.

To which, Aunti Sagassidy rued: "Sorry to hear that he was your god."

This is deliciously replete with metaphorical, as well as sick, punny
symbolism. The first, and most euphonious of which is the literal understanding
of the notion of "anti-sagacity" which I think describes Irene's alterego quite
succinctly. Then there is the backwards compliment of being Anti Sag Ass ity.
In other words, having a tight ass. Then, the 'u" in "Aunti" implies that her
matronly self, for some reason inferred the wrong thing. Once again, one of
three is an insult. One is a mild scold, and one is just accurate reporting.

To which, Ragging-on-me Andy

This is an allusion to the male form of the doll "Raggedy Ann", but with an
attention to Andy's self-righteous pose. The 'ragging' part, although I
actually heard it used in the vernacular on "The [all american] Cosby Show",
uttered by Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable hisself, is still probably a pejorative and,
as such, was meant to be. I'm sure Andy can think up some juicy, implications
as far as misogyny/hysterical behaviour goes, but I won't deign to go into
that.

So, yeah, I guess I was playfully insulting you, but at least I was trying to
be semi-creative. These are no "shit-faced" remarks. I'm still at work, haven't
had time to start drinking yet.

Just think... all it would take was a Litellian "oh... nevermind" and we would
never be in this situation.

trying to adjust to 40,
7 days in and counting,
Still, hurt tha t Mike didn't announce my birthday.
And just because he didn't know it was my birthday is NO excuse!!!
p

p.s. I literally got up on the wrong side of the bed. It really does fool with
one's mind.
