serraglio is not an Italian word, it is Turkish
(as in, for those how know football GALATA-SARAIJ
or in any of the majestic palaces of the Ozman age. Mozart was young but

Also, it would deprive a few operas of their plot.
I am learning, "Entfuhrung aus dem Seraglio" by Mozart. Lots of Italian
words surprisingly in the score, such as 'seraglio'. "Entfuhren" is "abduct",
as in "The Abduction of Figaro".
