Either this is a tautology, or it's not.
 
Of course, one may need to revise that beautiful book, "The genealogy of  
disjunction".
 
But the nice thing about the dictum is that, even if 'or' is not one of  
Grice's 'vulgar connectives' (triggering this or that implicature), the thing 
is  still true.
 
Or not, of course.
