It's an "From A to Z". One of the entries under 'a' is 'absolutely'.

Only that they carry different implicatures.
"Absolutely" carries what I call a Hegelian implicature.
A: Is it raining?
B: Absolutely.
A "Yes" is, rather, Aristotelian.
