Helm:
"perhaps certain writings about ... Grice may seem “literary” to the authors of
these writings."
Allow me to generalise that into
ii. Perhaps this or that unpublication by Grice was seen as 'literary' to Grice!
Grice was proud that his unpublications by far exceeded his publications! He
was also a MA Lit Hum were the "Lit" sort of stands for literature. It would
NOT had Grice obtained a DPhil which STATES that what we are dealing with is
"philosophy" (the "Phil"). "Lit Hum" does not necessarily implicate
"philosophy" and Grice was proud that it was a classic (i.e. Greek) scholarship
from Clifton that got him onto Corpus Christi and from there to a career as the
'implicatural' don in the 'city' (it has a cathedral, after all) of the
dreaming spires!
Keats wrote of the ode on a Grecian urn, hence my subject line!
