They called my plane before I could finish removing surplus text and making
the connection between bookstore and Hemingway's tale. Perhaps people on the
list made the connection themselves? There was a bookstore named after the
tale and a book, about books and reading, written by a former employee of
that store. At least that's what I remember.
But my chief motive for writing was to wish Lawrence well.
