PLA seizes arms through Skirmishes
Kathmandu, Feb 28/ People's Liberation Army fighters launched fierce
attacks in Central and Eastern Nepal this morning against royal mercenaries.
These attacks left 19 royal mercenaries dead and dozen injured.
Issuing a press statement today the eastern division of PLA has taken
responsibilities for these attacks. The division office has said that its PLA
fighters have seized huge amount of weapons and ammunitions. The fighters of
5th Brigade (under Eastern Division) trigged off a road landmine in National
highway of Hetauda Municipality of Makanpur district 7 AM this morning and blew
up a military vehicle. 15 royal armies died on the spot. The PLA fighters
seized 5 SLR rifles, 3 Insas rifles, 2 SMG rifles, 2 Pistols, 1 Prawn Pistol
and thousands of bullets after the attack.
Likewise, around the same time, at 7:30 AM the PLA fighters of the
Special Task force of Eastern Division Headquarter launched an ambush in the
heart of Salleri, the headquarter of Solukhumbu district (where Mount Everest
is), This left 4 royal armies dead and few injured. PLA fighters captured 3
Insas rifles, a 3-0-3 rifle and hundreds of bullets.
The division in its statement has clarified that no casualties on its
side has occurred in these attacks. The division Commissar and Commander have
saluted and thanked to the commanders and fighters involved in these attacks.
Likewise, on the mid-western Nepal, in Butwal town, the District
Superintendent of police, Bikram Bahadur Chand was shot dead along with his 4
police guards by PLA urban fighters at around 11 AM this morning.
