Everyone, Does this file "/etc/xinetd.conf" mean that it is no longer an ascii file, and that it cannot be edited unless one uses a X windows or GUI interface? Does this mean that the GUI determines what we can do with "/etc/xinetd.conf"? Does anyone know the answer? Is Linux going off changing basic Unix features? Robert A.
