[Linux-Anyway] New issue: Playing music stops my mail

OK. It doesn't stop it all, but it piles up in the spool &
doesn't get moved to pine's mbox (new feature since a version or
two back) folder till I stop either a radio stream or playing
mp3's.

I know this is due to a line in my .procmailrc which plays a
wav file when mail arrives, but this wasn't happening with slack
9.1 or mdk 10.0. Here's the line in question:

# Play default sound on receive
:0 ic
| $HOME/bin/mailnotify.pl DennisLeary-FuckYou.wav default
&>/dev/null

Also, since installing slack 10.0, this plays for each mail
which arrives instead of just playing once, as it had before, no
matter how many mails came in at one time.

Anyone know enough about procmail to help me figure this one
(two, actually) out?
