You know I know nothing about this kind of thing, but i wanted to comment
that it's a good idea.  I have a memorex keyboard that in doze lets me
adjust my volume by pressing hot keys.  But, couldn't find a linux version
of the software it uses, of course.

Just think it's a good idea.
