Some customers have asked how to change the time signature in Lime and even
how to print music without a time signature.
Move to the beginning of your piece or to the place where you want to insert
a time signature.
Choose Time Signature under Limes Symbol menu or press CONTROL+T to open
the Time Signature dialog.
Use this dialog to change the time signature or even to delete the current
time signature.
For example, if your piece is written in 4/4 time but you want it to be
written in 2/2 time, simply enter a 2 for the numerator of your time
signature and another 2 for the denominator. You can even click the button
to show the symbol for cut time if you prefer.
Note that Lime will not alter existing measures to match your new time
signature. For example, if you use Limes New Piece dialog to create a
piece of 16 bars in 4/4 time, simply changing the time signature to ¾ time
will not reduce the number of beats per measure from 4 to 3. You would need
to use Limes Insert Measures dialog where you can specify the number of
beats as 3.
Also note that you will need to enter the corresponding time signature for
these new measures by moving to the first bar of the new section and typing
CONTROL+T.
