As I said in my email it also does not compile on my debian box. I added the
errors I get as well. I was trying to build the master branch.

We were cross compiling using whatever mingw packages that Linux distribution
had. I had written a script to build for Windows and Linux, (our Mac cross
compile needs a special compiler that has to be downloaded). I am sending you
a simplified version of the one we are using now.
The main issue is that your update cause all our cross-compiling scripts to
fail. Also the make distwin* fails on our Fedora/RedHat and Ubuntu distros (it
does work on our Debian). This is serious as I have updates to UEB that I
cannot push because I can't update our master branch because of this issue.

Hi Michael,
Does that mean it worked for you before? How did you do it? It could be that
this change in configure.ac<http://configure.ac> has something to do with it.
The library check for YAML was slightly changed:
https://github.com/liblouis/liblouis/commit/42a90588360ae62d8cdeae89e57f16c8650d7fd7#diff-67e997bcfdac55191033d57a16d1408a

LibLouis no longer cross compiles for Windows on Linux using MinGW. It cannot
find the yaml library.
