Hi Dumindo and all,

Something to think about - the Australian Government provide a notification
solution Notify.gov.au<https://notify.gov.au/> for government agencies at all
levels.

We are not using this service at this stage, but it is definitely worth a look.
There's a cap on the number of free messages you can send per calendar year
(25,000) and then a fee beyond that cap. There are already 31 local governments
across Australia registered in the system.

registration etc...

There are multiple ways to integrate with solution depending on requirements
but we also use if for 2FA

Hi Dumindu,

We use Exetel's SMS service. It allows a number of API connections which have
proven useful (intranet web forms for SMS'ing staff, password expiry reminders,
PRTG alerts, etc). We've also set up a number of trusted users with access to
use the email-sms system - details below

They also allow receiving SMS replies via email. We use this for 2FA text
messages to larger organisations - we register the exetel number as the
contractor's 2FA number, and configure it to email the 2FA Code texts to their
support email address.

We haven't hit a limit yet, but it appears you can send texts from an unlimited
number of names - just type what you want and hit send.
