Hi everyone,
a friend involved in an LW community in Belarus has mentioned to me their
attempt to introduce this game to their meetup activties:
https://www.lesswrong.com/posts/gw8vYALJgQ29qQsDM/
The link has all the materials and rules, but in a nutshell - players split
into debaters and audience. Debaters draw cards with specific logical fallacies
from a deck and use them to make arguments. Audience uses a limited number of
call-out attempts to identify the exact kind of fallacy the debater has used
(and they can't use it anymore after it has been identified). The one audience
member that has identified most fallacies in 20min wins (but really, everyone
does since everyone learns to spot BS logic).
How would we feel about trying something like this out at one of the next
meetups?
Regards,
RM
