There was just some very phenomenal talent, enthusiasm, and sharing out there today. Veteran flyers, novice flyers, everything in between, it just doesn't get any better than that. Multicopters, FPV'ers, everyone got to check in with whatever genre they wanted to check into. My biggest problem was I couldn't seem to get to everybody quick enough for my own personal intake of knowledge from some just very savvy flyers. But I always leave with a tip or two. My best tip today was from John Cooper on a new way to apply glue to wing hinges without getting it into the hinge joints. It is almost one of those head thumper "WOW I COULD HAVE HAD A V8" kind of moments, but that will definitely be a technique I try next time I hinge a wing. So thanks to all the other guys from clubs that came out to just have some fun, and to those just dropping in that sometimes frequent our area. I feel like a kid every time I get to do this. Worth every minute. Here are a few pictures of the day. Joel Dean maidened his Slow Stick in fine fashion and made it look easy. Ryan "The Dominator" McCon dazzled us with some competition style 3D, and Tim Donar always impresses with his multicopter. There was plenty of other action too, but this is just what I was able to capture when I wasn't trying to either fly, or help the "Goose" fly. I wish I could have gotten more. These were grabbed from video so I apologize in advance for the quality, but I'll have some videos up soon. -- Bill Beavers Lektrik Flyers Website Lektrik Flyers Listserv (free to join up) Local Wind Condtions from LR AFB
