Yes, I realize they’ve carried the Leica brand on the lens. What I was
alluding to is that certain LUMIX cameras have been rebadged with Leica
livery.
This could be a possibility for this outing too.

As far as the stop-down mechanism goes, that meant more for optical
viewfinders than for EVFs, because with the EVF you can directly see
what the DOF and other aspects of the scene will be when you adjust the
f-stop and the light levels are adjusted electronically. My hope is that
there will be a mount that doesn't require an adapter for 'R' lenses. If
so, they have a sale-in-waiting!
