Interesting. Although my first, almost serious SLR was a Nikkorex
35/2 followed by a very serious Nikon "F". I down-sized to an OM-1
in 1973 or 4; which I then took to the USSR, with great success. I
only parted with it, to move into an R3 and it's various successors,
which consumed most of my money for the next 25+ years.

The role of Money-Sucker was filled by my Rollei kit. Although the Leica R5, various lenses and accessories were pricey, they were cheap by comparison!

Do let us know what you decide on. I, for one, will be most
curious.

My only concern about going the Olympus route is that its 4/3 sensor format "orphans" my Leica lenses. If I went for that, I'd just use the Olympus lens(es) that you mentioned. Something else that is I'm seriously considering a full-frame body, such as the Sony A7. I'd go for the A7 RII, but to do that I'd need to unload some of my other gear to justify the expense. In this economy, that isn't an attractive option.

best regards,

Neil
